Engaging three methods of production allows Bee Tree Farm to house a variety of crops and cultivars to build and maintain sustainability. Using protected production systems such as shade-net and plastic tunnels grant the covering for the more sensitive specimens, while the open land provides opportunities for the more robust.
A brood of free-range hens provides a steady supply of healthy free-range eggs which adds value to the weekly supplied family packs. The chicken pen and its occupants also contribute to the agriculture training provided on the Farm. The long-term strategy of the business is to introduce poultry farming. This will form phase 2 of the farming project after the vegetable production and processing are well settled and sustainable.
